Meet Our Exotic Animals and Those Who Care for Them

Have you ever wanted to learn what goes on behind the scenes at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom? Now is your chance! Backstage Safari allows our guests to meet some of the unique and exotic animals that are in the care of the Animal Specialists at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!

This educational program gives a behind the scenes look at how the park cares for the animals, their individual stories and the importance of protecting their counterparts in the wild. Guests will visit multiple behind-the-scenes animal areas on the land-animal side of our park. Animal areas are subject to change and animal availability.

Program Information:

• Price: $59.99 per person
• Interaction Time: 3:00 pm
• Interaction Duration: ~1.25 hours
• Meeting Location: Safari Guests Relations across from Odin’s Temple of the tiger 10 minutes prior to your program
• Capacity: 12 people

Please arrive at the meeting location 10 minutes prior to the start of your program. The program will begin promptly at 3:00 pm. If you arrive after the program start time, you may not be able to join the program. There are no refunds.

Please note: this program is not wheelchair accessible.

Program Requirement and Policies:

Any guests who are under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Children who are 2-years old or younger do not require a ticket.

Park admission is required to participate and NOT included with this program.

For everyone’s safety and comfort, please advise us prior to your interaction if there are any emotional, behavioral, or physical conditions that could affect a guest’s participation so we may make appropriate accommodations.

Prior to your program, you will receive a call and/or email confirmation from Education staff to confirm your booking and provide any relevant program information.

While most of our animal interaction programs are hands-on, we can never guarantee touching or feeding animals.

This program runs rain or shine. If severe weather prompts a park closure, guests will be contacted regarding options for their purchased programs.

There are no refunds.

You can reschedule your program 72 hours or more from your original reservation date and time. There will be no rescheduling accepted with less than 72 hours’ notice.
